Course Description: This training covers the requirements of the OSHA Permit-Required Confined Space regulations with respect to 29 CFR 1910.146 (General Industry) and 29 CFR 1926 Subpart AA (Construction). Course topics include safety and health hazards associated with confined space entry, and the identification, assessment, prevention, and control of these hazards. Discussions will include the roles and responsibilities of personnel and the methods needed to develop a permit-required confined space program. Upon course completion, students will have an understanding of the confined space regulations, and the means and methods of proper implementation of a confined space program to protect themselves and others from personal injury, illness and death.
