Back Injury Prevention Training

Interactive program that combines an overview of the history of orthopedic injury with demonstration and exercise practice. The training is comprised of three sections- a discussion and illustration of the anatomy and physiology of the working spine including an overview of types of back injuries and the importance of proper lifting; a demonstration of proper lifting techniques and a practice session focused on warm-up routines and pre work stretches. 

Duration: One hour training:  

Who should attend: Public works personnel, school custodian, food service and administrative staff.
